For many Nepali girls, the opportunity to go to school is just a dream that their situation will never allow to come true. Imagine being able to tell a Nepali girl that her dream has come true and she can go to school . . . .

It only costs $300 (AUD) per year for a girl to go to school in Nepal, including her uniform, books, bag and school fees. We believe that if you educate a girl, you educate the whole family. There is nothing new in this thinking but we've seen it throughout our time in Nepal - the women are the ones who help the children with their homework, the ones who manage the family's money, the one's who do the shopping and take the kids to the doctors. They are the ones who will make a difference if they have the opportunity of an education.

Current Status

Since October 2006 we have been fundraising for this project and so far we have managed to provide 107 scholarships for Nepali girls to attend school! We could not have done this without the generous support of so many people so “thanks” to all of you who contributed to making this happen.
We continually receive new applications from our partner organisations in and around the Kathmandu Valley. This means that we are always looking for funds for new scholarships so that we can give more girls the chance of an education.
There is no time like the present to make the decision to change a life forever.
