CWISH Model School Teacher training programs will form an important part of our work for the next year. On our recent trip to Kathmandu we had the good fortune of meeting with a friend who works for CWISH, an aid organisation focused on helping children and women in Nepal. They have a fantastic vision to create a model school in Kathmandu that can be developed as a market leader in pioneering new and more creative teaching methods. The school will serve as a great location for scholarship students to study and will also provide the perfect central headquarters for all of the Foundation's teacher training initiatives. Current Status The school is currently under construction and is hoped to be ready in time for the new school year commencing in April. We are working with CWISH to finalise Mitrataa's role in this endeavour which is likely to include advisory work as well as providing training programs, resources and materials. How YOU Can Help We are particularly interested in hearing from people with skills and experience in this area as we can always use assistance in terms of providing advisory expertise to CWISH. If you have any unwanted or surplus resources, text books or other teaching materials which may be useful for the school, we'd love to hear from you.
